07-GHOST Vol. 1

8 06 2008

Tate Clyne had escaped from his military training school after a failed attempt to attack a commander from the military whom he remembered was the very one who killed his “Father” in his orphanage when he was younger. He succeeded in his escape but not without receiving a hit from the commander. Wounded, Tate fled the military school on the air bike to a nearby canyon, where a group of priests were having fun racing air bikes. It was then that Tate fell through the sky and crashed onto one of the most coarse priest you will ever meet.

And while Tate was recuperating in the church, the military was searching for him, determined to nab him. They made use of Mikage, Tate’s best buddy, to infiltrate the church but there was someone else in him. He was there to capture, or worse, kill Tate.

This title has action, something which I enjoy. But I can’t say I am really enjoying the action in this title. Maybe there’s too little or maybe it’s just not my style, I don’t know. The storyline is moderate, not excellent. It certainly needs a better plot to get me hooked. There’s also hints of shonen love in this title, but nothing much really. I’m hesitating to buy the second volume and I’ve read this since long ago. You can see how not tempted I am to continue this book. But I might.

Humor: 4/10
Plot: 5/10
Character Design: 6/10
Overall: 5/10
