We have moved!!

26 06 2008

Hello everyone! I am very glad to announce that I finally got my own domain @ ChapterDesu.com! I’ve been wanting to get my own domain for a very, very, very long time but I didn’t have the time nor money. Anyway, I will bring you fresh manga reviews and more over at the new domain, so please do go there now! =)

The site is still pretty new and I’m still in the midst of changing the themes and stuff and trying to get everything running smoothly. It’s my first time owning a domain, so I’m pretty messed up. Oh, how exciting~

07-GHOST Vol. 1

8 06 2008

Tate Clyne had escaped from his military training school after a failed attempt to attack a commander from the military whom he remembered was the very one who killed his “Father” in his orphanage when he was younger. He succeeded in his escape but not without receiving a hit from the commander. Wounded, Tate fled the military school on the air bike to a nearby canyon, where a group of priests were having fun racing air bikes. It was then that Tate fell through the sky and crashed onto one of the most coarse priest you will ever meet.

And while Tate was recuperating in the church, the military was searching for him, determined to nab him. They made use of Mikage, Tate’s best buddy, to infiltrate the church but there was someone else in him. He was there to capture, or worse, kill Tate.

This title has action, something which I enjoy. But I can’t say I am really enjoying the action in this title. Maybe there’s too little or maybe it’s just not my style, I don’t know. The storyline is moderate, not excellent. It certainly needs a better plot to get me hooked. There’s also hints of shonen love in this title, but nothing much really. I’m hesitating to buy the second volume and I’ve read this since long ago. You can see how not tempted I am to continue this book. But I might.

Humor: 4/10
Plot: 5/10
Character Design: 6/10
Overall: 5/10

This title is only available in (as far as I know):
Japanese

Author: 雨宮由樹 & 市原ゆき乃 (Yuki Amemiya & Yukino Ichihara)

Translations… done!

1 06 2008

Yeah, I have FINALLY finished the tedious translations for Black Jack NEO and has submitted it to Chuang Yi already. I have no idea when the english version will be coming out but I am really looking forward to it! It’s going to be my first translated book! Yeeaahh!! It was fun and I got to read comics without paying, I also learnt a lot, in terms of Japanese and translating. I’m really looking forward to translating the second volume of the series.

Anyway, they have told me to translate another series. Seems like there aren’t any time for me to take a break, huh? Translating is definitely tedious and on top of that, I’m holding another part-time. A million two thousand and five hundred apologies for the lack of manga review updates. I… really don’t have the time. I spent all my off days translating the manga, damn! I miss writing manga reviews =(

By the way, I checked out Kinokuniya and Volume five of Bloody Monday is out! Sweet! I didn’t had much money with me but I couldn’t resist. You know what I mean.
